JAY KHAN
Jay Khan is a photographic artist based in Hong Kong, whose life has been deeply woven into the city’s cultural and aesthetic evolvement and development. His creative practice began with quiet observations through a mobile phone, and during the pandemic, he formally devoted himself to systematic photographic creation. Being deprived of color sensitivity, he chooses black-and-white as his primary visual language and has been dedicated to monochrome photography.

As a renowned mixologist and bar owner, he spends his nights immersed in social energy and human connection; photography becomes his quiet refuge, a space where he returns to his inner self, finds peace, and replenishes his spiritual strength. Balance is the strong core that runs through his life, his cocktail creations, and his visual aesthetics—a steady rhythm he carries between noise and stillness, reason and emotion, the outer world and his inner heart.

Founder of COA / Mixologist
As a renowned cocktail bar veteran with over 20 years in the beverage industry. He founded COA, voted Best Bar in Asia for three consecutive years (2021-2023) and ranked #7 in the World's 50 Best Bars (2021). Launched in 2017, COA emphasizes 100% agave tequila and traditional mezcal, illuminating these often-misunderstood spirits.

In 2020, Khan co-founded Mezcal Mission, offering curated tasting workshops while donating all proceeds to local charities, supporting families in need. Following COA's success in Hong Kong, he expanded COA to Shanghai in 2022 and co-founded The Savory Project in HK, a cocktail bar celebrating savory and umami flavors. By 2024, COA Shanghai moved to a four-story building, each floor featuring a unique concept.

Jay Khan is celebrated as one of the most influential figures in the bar industry (2021-2025), having been recognized on the Bar World 100 for five consecutive years. He also appeared on Tatler Asia’s Most Influential list (2021-2022) and was featured in Prestige's 40 Under 40 (2021). Honored for his significant contributions to agave education and the bar scene, he received the TrailBlazer Award from TimeOut Hong Kong in 2023.

Jay 是成長於香港的攝影藝術家,親身經歷城市歷史與當代的轉變過程。他的攝 影實踐始於手機記錄,並在疫情期間正式以相機展開系統化創作。因對色覺感知 上的差異,其創作以黑白影像為主要媒介,偶以彩色作為輔助嘗試。

身為酒吧經營者,他需在夜間持續與人社交,攝影則成為他回歸內在、獲取平靜 與精神能量的途徑。平衡,是他貫穿人生、調酒創作與影像美學的核心觀點,在 喧鬧與安靜、理性與感性、外在與內在之間,找到屬於自己的穩定節奏。

COA 創辦人/調酒師
Jay Khan 為享譽業界的雞尾酒專家,擁有超過 20 年的飲品行業經驗。他創立 的 COA 連續三年(2021–2023)榮獲「亞洲最佳酒吧」第一名,並於 2021 年 名列「世界 50 最佳酒吧」第七位。COA 於 2017 年開業,主打 100% 龍舌蘭 (Agave)龍舌蘭酒與傳統梅斯卡爾(Mezcal),致力推廣並重新詮釋這些常被 誤解的烈酒文化。

2020 年,Khan 聯合創辦 Mezcal Mission,舉辦精選品鑑工作坊,並將所有收 益捐贈予本地慈善機構,支持有需要的家庭。隨著 COA 在香港取得成功,他於 2022 年將 COA 拓展至上海,並於香港共同創辦 The Savory Project,一間以 鹹味與鮮味為主題的雞尾酒吧。2024 年,COA 上海遷至一棟四層建築,每層皆 呈現不同概念。
