I Gusti Ngurah Buda is amongst the first Indonesian artists I discovered. I visited his temple-like studio in Bali. It was huge, and full of his beautiful paintings. He himself was such a free- spirited happy person with open smile that I immediately taken to. He opened up the wonders of Balinese contemporary art for me.
