Ugo Untoro’s Exhibition “Papers and Ugo”, in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Ugo has been working on thousand sheets of papers. On the media, he habitually executed many explorations, experimentations, from conventional (eventual sketches, human figures) up to the radical actions — such as hollow-holes by burning paper. At certain periods, Ugo seemed to get attached on collages. He shredded or sometimes cut and pasted papers to other paper medium.

From series of his creations, it appears that he does not distinguish either the paper variants, or the various sizes available. He seemed versatile to “accept the nature” of papers “provided” by the surroundings.
