Sin Sin Fine Art is delighted to introduce the solo exhibition of a contemporary Indonesian artist – Kokok P. Sancoko, held from 8 to 29 April, showcasing a series of his flowers and vegetables paintings.

Kokok's paintings review the impression of certain objects, vegetables, flowers, fruits, but represented in his way, where they always seem to be in progress. His paintings change the traditional impression of these familiar objects in our mind, and refresh our eyes.

Kokok applies his realistic painting techniques on his works, and at the same time creates the beauty of fantasy. He paints a particular part of the object microscopically, with impressive details, and at the same time leaves white spaces around, which bring viewers to a new visual experience between reality and fantasy and create rooms for the viewer’s imagination and express the loveliness of abstraction.

"I will explore grids," he said, "for me, the presence of flatness is a kind of solution of chaotic." Kokok P. Sancoko (2011)
