BIOGRAPHY

Hengki Pudjianto

Born in 1967 in Surabaya, Indonesia. Currently lives and works in Bali, Indonesia. Self taught as an artist, Hengki draw his inspirations by reaching out with his soul to beings, people, and relationship around him; and let these infuse him with emotions which are reflected on his canvas, capturing flow in form.

An affinity to the tradition of Zen or Chinese Chan Buddhist painting that has deeply influenced modern American expressionism could also be found in Hengki’s paintings; expressing the sense of wholeness, depicting the connectedness of all living things, forming a conversation between the artists and his surroundings and inner emotions.
