"I battle with my mind - battle with my feelings and self-adjustments.
When one side wins, the result becomes a painting. At least, one of these sides should be realistic and honest, otherwise, the painting should not be exhibited."
I was born in Shanghai. I feel and understand its nature after spending many years abroad and then re-experiencing the city. Shanghai is devilishly beautiful yet novel. At the same time it expresses melancholy. In this "naked" city, it is easy to encounter new relationships and forget them quickly." -- Ann New
