I met Lee Man Sang a long time ago when I needed a location to photograph my collection, ‘Earth on Earth’. A friend took me to Lee Man Sang’s studio out in the nature. It’s like a hidden paradise! The man himself appeared like a Buddha, coming out from the forest. He makes things using natural material he found around his studio. He makes sculptures, flutes, lamps... whatever inspires him. I think his works reflect where he comes from.
